Party Like Pirates

At Fantasm Horror, Paranormal and Burlesque Convention in Orlando, I met up with actor Hal Havins for a quick chat, before beelining over to the Paranormal Existence Research Society, P.E.R.S..  With many knowing that I have had an interest in the paranormal for some time, doing a few ghost hunts of my own over the years across the globe, I had to quiz up P.E.R.S. with a few of my own observations to see what they thought about it.  The video below shows both conversations, which are pretty interesting I'd say. Meandering around Fantasm Horror, Paranormal and Burlesque Convention in Orlando, FL, I cornered a few horror icons, chatting about whatever came to mind at the time.  With a whole line of celebrities making appearances at the convention, there were plenty to choose from, some busier than others.  Choosing who to talk to depended on who was available at the time, as some were simply gone from booths, leaving others the chance to shine and tell me about what makes them known as a star. Halloween is definitely the time of year to take a stroll through a cemetery.  There's something about giving ourselves the creeps this time of year that makes it fun.  As the weather starts to chill, we strive to thrill with jump scares, fog machines, werewolves, witches, fortune tellers and so much more. An independently run haunted house pop-up is back this year after Hurricane Ian ripped away plenty of their decorations last year.  The event almost did not take place, not for the hurricane incident, but because of the county code enforcement stepping in.  Seems that some of the Halloween displays were higher than the county allowed, which caused a small battle over what was not to be a permanent structure, and though there may have been some temporary drama, the Halloween extravaganza is back again this year. "Spark It Up," the second alternative shortened version of the award-winning documentary "Blow It Up" has been released for comparison to the first short version titled "Fire It Up."  The first shortened version of the documentary featured additional footage from the 50th Anniversary of the University of Michigan Hash Bash; whereas, this second version features additional musical clips not featured on the first version.  All three versions of "Blow It Up," "Fire It Up," and "Spark It Up" were named for the involvement of pyrotechnic work, as well as the destruction from Hurricane Ian in SW Florida.
