Fire It Up: Préndelo
After winning awards for women empowerment and best women's film for her documentary "Blow It Up," author and director Marisa L. Williams shares one of the alternative shorter versions of the documentary, called "Fire It Up," with scenes that did not make the cut in the full-length version. "Fire It Up" features more music and documentary of the 50th Anniversary of the University of Michigan's Hash Bash, which is not featured in "Blow It Up." In this version, music of street performers is featured.

In both versions, Marisa shares footage of the destruction from Hurricane Ian in Southwest Florida. She discusses a little history of her books, as well as behind the scenes footage from Florida, Michigan and other places. All the while, she discusses working in pyrotechnics, as well as heart-pounding explosions, including in slow motion, to show the chemical reactions of fireworks in the sky.

Marisa toured the country on Ozzfest in 2002, afterwards earning her Master's in Writing at the Johns Hopkins University.
