Wandering through the magical void set up in Centennial Park in Port Charlotte, I thought I happened upon a wizard of sorts. Magically, they were burning cartoon characters onto a variety of objects.  How could this be so? I went in for close observations, questioning a teal-haired gal about what was going on.  Luring me into their secret kingdom of creations, I learned how they burned cartoon scenes and more with accurate detail. Wandering into the Centennial Park, I met Elizabeth, the owner of Nerdy Peach Stitches, who is not only an awesome knitter who creates everything from adorable squishy plushies to awesome horror characters that are truly one of a kind, but she also teaches people how to create their own knitted toys.  Growing up, I had always been a big fan of crafting my own toys, so I have a big appreciation of someone who not only has that skill, but teaches others how to hone their inner potential and craft their own creations.  She shares patterns for people to make at home, as well as money-saving tips, such as where to get cheap supplies. Weird Al opened with Puddles Pity Party at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL.  My brother said that he had seen a whole crew of people sporting the Pity Party shirts at events like the drum circle, but he didn't know what it was all about, until he got to see it for himself to truly understand the following.  Not to spoil the routine, but let's say it's definitely an interesting pairing with Weird Al's comedy fans. The Everblades had a strong game 2 in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, defeating South Carolina with a score of 6-2. Starting the game with live music and the Publix sponsored tailgate party with free sweet treats, fans could try their hand attempting to score as many goals as possible in a given time.
