Everblades win 6-2: Los Everblades ganan 6-2

The Everblades had a strong game 2 in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, defeating South Carolina with a score of 6-2. Starting the game with live music and the Publix sponsored tailgate party with free sweet treats, fans could try their hand attempting to score as many goals as possible in a given time. This only hyped up fans for the intense hockey battle. Los Everblades tuvieron un fuerte partido 2 en los Playoffs de la Kelly Cup, derrotando a Carolina del Sur con una puntuación de 6-2. Clutch, Corrosion of Conformity and Pinkus

Heading to the mountains to take in Corrosion of Conformity with Clutch and JD Pinkus at The Signal in Chattanooga, TN, a pitstop at Ruby Falls was dire to stretch the legs with some ziplining, then hike unground in a cave to a hidden waterfall, just to make the blood flow a bit before the show.  Pinkus had my curiousity piqued the most, as I had heard him in Butthole Surfers, knew he was talented, but I had never just seen him strumming a banjo on stage before and didn't really know what to expect.  Whatever it was I thought I might have expected got blown out of the water by sounds that made me scratch my head, like I didn't know a banjo sounded that way, until I spotted his setup of distortion pedals, and was he running that thing barefoot to add to that mushroom mountain music sort of appeal for the area? HippieStock Festival in Port Charlotte

The hippies swarmed the Charlotte County Fairgrounds at HippieStock Festival, which had formerly been called Flofest.   The fairgrounds floated with inflatables, creating an otherworldly effect, especially when combined with chill zones decorated with tie-dye artwork.  There were tents and hammocks to relax in, overlooking the picturesque pond out back, the perfect backdrop to a peaceful hippie festival. Venice Celebrates Holidays: Venecia Celebra Las Vacaciones

The city of Venice, FL, lit up with holiday cheer last night, with the Venice parade serving as a reminder of the city’s centennial celebrations.  With the city turning 100-years-old, many of the town favorites showed up in full festive gear for the holiday celebration. Blocking off the streets, allowing the parade to show off, not only really cool cars and over the top lighting techniques, but something unique to the area is all the creative performers that appear.
