Everblades win 6-2: Los Everblades ganan 6-2

The Everblades had a strong game 2 in the Kelly Cup Playoffs, defeating South Carolina with a score of 6-2. Starting the game with live music and the Publix sponsored tailgate party with free sweet treats, fans could try their hand attempting to score as many goals as possible in a given time. This only hyped up fans for the intense hockey battle.


Los Everblades tuvieron un fuerte partido 2 en los Playoffs de la Kelly Cup, derrotando a Carolina del Sur con una puntuación de 6-2. Comenzando el juego con música en vivo y la fiesta de portón trasero patrocinada por Publix con dulces gratis, los fanáticos podrían probar su mano tratando de anotar tantos goles como fuera posible en un tiempo determinado. Esto solo emocionó a los fanáticos por la intensa batalla de hockey.



With it being a home game at Hertz Arena in Fort Myers, perhaps the Everblades had an advantage. Fans donned alligator onesies, hats, and all kinds of green decor. Cowbells rang out with approval with every great play.

Seeing hockey live, you get to see that hate build on the ice. Players from opposing teams check each other, but they don’t forget the slights, as the tension is only seen in their expressions, and with actions speaking louder than words, one never know when a helmet might go flying off during a fight. By the end of the third period, emotions charged, ice showered, and fists were flying.


Al ver el hockey en vivo, puedes ver ese odio que se acumula en el hielo. Los jugadores de los equipos contrarios se revisan entre sí, pero no olvidan los insultos, ya que la tensión solo se ve en sus expresiones, y con las acciones que hablan más que las palabras, uno nunca sabe cuándo un casco podría salir volando durante una pelea. Al final del tercer período, las emociones se cargaron, el hielo se bañó y los puños volaron.



Who knows how this Kelly Cup might play out? I don’t have the crystal ball to say for sure, but Everblades held their own on their home turf. The battle begins again in South Carolina on May 13 for more hockey action.

If you are an adrenaline junkie like me, then hands-down, my favorite place to go for roller coasters is at Cedar point in Sandusky, Ohio.
