HippieStock Festival in Port Charlotte
The hippies swarmed the Charlotte County Fairgrounds at HippieStock Festival, which had formerly been called Flofest. The fairgrounds floated with inflatables, creating an otherworldly effect, especially when combined with chill zones decorated with tie-dye artwork. There were tents and hammocks to relax in, overlooking the picturesque pond out back, the perfect backdrop to a peaceful hippie festival.

Whether is people dressed up in costumes, a lively mermaid holding down a massive shell, or a wandering minstril who varies from playing flute while balancing on a ball, to juggling swords, you never know what you'll find wandering around this event. It was more like expect the unexpect. Who would think that you'd get lost in a massive field of inflatable mushrooms way taller than people, complete with a ginormous snail that looked like it would be big enough to ride off into that beautifully colored sunset?

Plus, there was a variety of music to take in, be it a small group of unplugged musicians jamming in the midst of a tent village, or an intense LED stage display with trippy visuals and electronic music. As the evening darkened, it only allowed the pefect backdrop for fire dancers and the FlowMies to glow up the night with a variety of light-up hoops, hats, wands, and all sorts of other glowing apparatuses. This was an unexpectedly chill event to celebrate Earth Day and nature with some really cool vendors and suprises.
