With pyrotechnics being extremely dangerous work, you have to have as much fun as possible. When setting up pyrotechnics at Trump National in Doral, Florida, we had to deal with golf ball tripping hazards. In order to clear the area where pyrotechnics were to be set up, we created a new game of hammer golf for the kids.

They say that necessity is the mother of invention, and when you don’t have a golf club handy, a hammer is almost like a golf club for a little kid. The parents taught their kid the basics of golf by using a hammer, and that helped clear the way for us to set up the pyrotechniques that day. Watching failed attempts from adults also provided an amusing way to spend a short work break.
