One cool thing that Regal Cinemas does every so often is a Monday Mystery Movie that only costs $5. You can try to guess what upcoming movie it might be, but it might be something that does not normally play in theatres either. You can never know for sure, which is why it's a mystery movie.

My friend said she was up for the adventure of not knowing what movie we would see, so we started guessing which movie it would be. Let's just say when the title came on in the theatre, everyone started clapping, hooting and hollering. We were all curious what the movie would be like, with me curious if it would have the graphics of the Fast and Furious movies, packed full of action non-stop like the game.

Honestly, it started a little slow, as it had to build up the storyline. Not everyone likes schoolwork, and it can drag on, as we all know. That's just to build up anticipations for what's to come, as we all know there's going to be some racing in this film, so you chomp at the bit waiting for that like the students.

There are some cool enough graphics to make it worth seeing in a theatre. It's not quite the action storyline as the Fast and Furious films, but it ramps up the reality, drawing people into it, making them feel as if they are part of it. I mean, no offense to Fast X, but I spent the first third knowing I had watched that movie before, and as much as reruns work, truth can be stranger than fiction at times.

Being a fan of the game growing up, it was definitely cool to know what went on behind the scenes. Not everyone was good enough to qualify for an opportunity to become a professional racecar driver. So many kids playing racing games growing up probably hoped they would be though, and that's a fantasy that a lot of people can get behind, which is part of what draws you into the movie.

It blurs the line of video game and reality in a way that proves that video games can be educational, teaching hand and eye coordination needed in real life situations, such as race car driving, begging the question of what else could video games be used to train people for in other real-life scenarios?

Overall, it got your adrenaline pumping. My friend, I was worried she was not into it at first, as I saw her checking her phone during the schooling scenes. By the middle, she was white knuckle grip on the armrest, eyes glued to the screen, and she was ranting how much she loved it by the end of it.
