When we went to the Dominican Republic, we wanted to take in the lush greenery that the country has to offer, as there's something about being in pristine nature, surrounded by naturally created beauty, that helps ground you. It brings you back to basics, reminding you of all the other creations in life that surround you. When you're surrounded by high rises and traffic, it's easy to forget about these peaceful places.
Cuando fuimos a la República Dominicana, queríamos disfrutar de la exuberante vegetación que el país tiene para ofrecer, ya que hay algo acerca de estar en la naturaleza prístina, rodeado de belleza creada naturalmente, que te ayuda a aterrizar. Te devuelve a lo básico, recordándote todas las otras creaciones de la vida que te rodean. Cuando estás rodeado de rascacielos y tráfico, es fácil olvidarse de estos lugares tranquilos.
The Dominican Republic offers many caves with native carvings, waterfalls and hidden treasures, but the state park of Three Eyes is a place to be one with nature. It was not overly crowded, offering meditational moments, and when it mentioned a ferry ride, we did not expect to be a hand-pulled ferry. The whole experience was magically, as if we might see a fairy flying by us at any moment, and if you get a chance to go to Santo Domingo, be sure to add this national park to your must-see list of places.
La República Dominicana ofrece muchas cuevas con tallas nativas, cascadas y tesoros escondidos, pero el parque estatal de los Tres Ojos es un lugar para ser uno con la naturaleza. No estaba demasiado lleno, ofreciendo momentos de meditación, y cuando mencionaba un viaje en ferry, no esperábamos ser un ferry tirado a mano. Toda la experiencia fue mágica, como si pudiéramos ver un hada volando junto a nosotros en cualquier momento, y si tienes la oportunidad de ir a Santo Domingo, asegúrate de agregar este parque nacional a tu lista de visitas obligadas.
